Associate Pastor for Family Ministries
David Bodenheimer joined the NOBC staff in 1995. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1979 and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985. David and his wife, Lynda, were married after they both graduated from seminary in 1985 and have two children, Lauren and Martin. Before coming to North Oxford, David and Lynda were Southern Baptist missionaries to Budapest, Hungary.
Lynda has served as the M.A.P.S. Director at NOBC since 1997. M.A.P.S. is our Mother’s Morning Out Program and stands for “Mothers and Preschoolers.”
Associate Pastor of Music and Worship
Jason joined the NOBC family in July 2016 after serving the previous 7 years at FBC Covington, LA, as Minister of Music & Worship. Jason is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA in Music/Vocal Performance and of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Christian Education with emphases in Church Music & Youth Ministry. He is originally from Grenada, MS, and has served in various ministry positions in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee. He and his wife, Capri, were married in August 2002, and she is a native of Philadelphia, MS. They have a precious little girl, Posey, who was born in April 2012.
Minister for Youth and College Students
Paul joined the NOBC family in December 2016 after serving in a similar role at FBC Terry, MS. Paul is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is originally from Winona, MS, and has previously served at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Byram, MS and as the BSU Intern at Ole Miss. He and his wife, Reghan, were married in June 2010, and she is originally from Greenwood, MS. They are the proud parents of two little boys, Micah, born in May 2015 and Sheppard, born in May 2017.
Lori Bray has been the Children’s Ministry Coordinator for NOBC since 2015 after serving on staff as the Nursery Coordinator and VBS Coordinator since 2009. Lori met her husband, Brad, through an NOBC mission trip to Alaska where she was a member of the local church with which we were partnering. They married in 1999 and have two children, Lora Leigh and Charlie. Lori’s passion is for all children to have a personal relationship with our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She encourages children to get plugged in to God’s Word through all the activities at NOBC.
Peggy Sneed has been a Ministry Assistant at NOBC since August, 1982. She now serves in a part-time capacity, and it has been her joy through the years to see many people added to God’s Kingdom through the work of the Holy Spirit and the ministry of NOBC. She enjoys the contact she has with folks every day as they stop by or call the church office. Peggy was married to the late Ryland Sneed for 48 years, and they have three children – Heather Sneed McClendon, Allison Sneed, and Patrick Sneed. If you are around her very long, you will quickly learn about her adorable grandchildren, Walker and Mattie Sneed, and Ava Spearman. In addition to spending time with her family, Peggy enjoys cooking, scrapbooking, and Ole Miss sports.
Mary Kellum has been serving s a Ministry Assistant at NOBC for over 15 years. She grew up in Harmontown, MS and married her high school sweetheart, David Kellum. They have two daughters, Stefanie & Staci. She has always been very missions-minded, serving as a BSU summer missionary in Montana, teaching a missions class at Harmontown Baptist Church, serving as a teacher of Mission Friends and GA Girls for many years here at NOBC before coming into full time Christian service. She enjoys being the first voice or face that most people see or hear when they contact NOBC and tries to live by the motto, “Help Me See People As Jesus Sees People”. She spends most of her free time attending Ole Miss sporting events year round with her husband.
Financial Ministry Assistant
Lisa joined the NOBC staff as the Financial Ministry Assistant in August, 2003. Lisa received her Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi, and she and her husband, Tony, have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. She feels blessed to be able to use the talent that God has blessed her with to serve him every day on staff at NOBC.
Creative Learning Center Director
Gwenda Brown came to NOBC to begin our weekday childcare ministry, the Creative Learning Center at North Oxford Baptist Church, in March of 2008. Gwenda is from Columbus, Mississippi and is a graduate of Mississippi State with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Gwenda is also a Licensed Social Worker. Before coming to North Oxford, Gwenda worked in various children’s homes and group homes in Texas and Mississippi and is especially proud to have been a part of several special needs adoptions by providing home studies and support training. Gwenda is married to Mark, and they have two children, Wes and Emme.
