The Senior Adult Ministry began in 1989 with seven people. Today there are over 200 who participate in different areas of ministry. This ministry is for anyone 55 and older who wants to stay active and use their talents and abilities to serve the Lord in some capacity.

B.A.L.L. TEAM -- Be Active, Live Longer Team -- This organization has elected officers and meets the second Tuesday of each month. Business for the organization is presented, a planned program is shared. Following the program, a covered-dish lunch is enjoyed.

"Peculiar Heirs" Choir is shared by the Music Ministry and Senior Adult Ministry. This choir meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A full range of music is taught as well as music fundamentals to help each person understand more about music.

Nursing Home Ministry -- The senior adults participate in a nursing home ministry at Graceland Care Facility. Senior adults who are available meet at the nursing home the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:00-10:45 a.m. to sing for the residents. This is followed by a Dutch-treat luncheon at a local restaurant.

Mystery Trips and Seasonal Trips -- When there is a fifth Tuesday of a month, a "Mystery Trip" is planned. These trips offer fun, fun, fun -- but you never know where you are going for the day! Each person shows up and gets on a bus and off you go! You eventually find out!

Additional trips are planned for this age group from time to time. There is no set schedule when these trips occur. They are open to senior adults and their guests. These trips usually are no more than four days, but can be up to seven days.

Senior Aerobics -- Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. each week at the Family Life Center.

Senior Game Day -- 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. every Thursday at the FLC. Enjoy playing cards, dominoes, etc. and a light snack.
