At North Oxford, we have a very robust children’s ministry that focuses on teaching the Bible in the most digestible formats for all age groups. We have a thriving nursery and preschool department. We also disciple our school-aged children through a program we call ElectriKids. We believe that it is important to have worship and ministry opportunities for our children that closely resemble the worship opportunities for our adults, albeit through different means.
On Sunday mornings, our nursery and preschool children meet in the nursery area, also known as our Creative Learning Center. Our school-aged children meet in specified classrooms in the ElectriKids Hall for small groups. The preschoolers (less than four years old) stay in their classrooms, while the four year olds and school-aged children are dismissed to attend Sunday Worship in the Sanctuary. Towards the end of the worship set, our Family Ministries Pastor, David Bodenheimer, will walk through and lead the children (age four through second grade) to the Electrikids Hall for Children’s Church. Brother Bodee, as he is affectionately known, presents the Word to our children as our pastor delivers the Word to the congregation in the Sanctuary.
On Sunday evenings, our children learn the arts of worship in children’s choir.
On Wednesday nights, our children’s missions organizations are split into small groups: RAs for boys, grades 1-6, GAs for girls, grades 1-6, and Mission Friends for preschoolers.
Please take a moment to look into ElectriKids, our preschool ministry, and our schedule. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Family Ministries Pastor, David Bodenheimer.
