The North Oxford worship choir joins with the worship team in leading the congregation into worship each Sunday morning, as well as performing in special musical worship services during Christmas and Easter.
We are always adding new members, and we would love for you to join us, too. The choir is separated into four sections: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. If you don’t know which part you sing, we can figure that out together. As the Psalmist David writes, “Come, let us shout joyfully to the Lord, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation! Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout triumphantly to Him in song.” (Psalm 95:1-3, HCSB)
The choir is open to any believer that has interest, no matter your level of training. In the worship choir, you will develop lasting friendships. You will grow spiritually, as you learn music and the theology that supports it. You will be surrounded by passionate people that love the Lord and live to serve Him. Consequently, you may see that you increase your musical skill level, as you spend the rehearsal hours honing your voice for His glory.
The worship choir rehearses on Wednesday nights at 6:50 p.m. in the choir room on the second floor above the Nursery/Creative Learning Center. They also meet for a quick walk through after Small Groups on Sunday to prepare for the morning worship. That meeting is in the choir room, as well. If you are interested in joining the choir, you can fill out this quick and easy form, or you may just show up for a Wednesday night rehearsal.
